General Information
--------------------

Name: Self explanatory. Please place the full name of your character. If you desire, you may place nick names here as well, but we're looking for a mandatory full name.

Actual Age: Arrancar generally live up to about a thousand years of age in the Bleach Universe or older, depending upon their spiritual energy. As such, you may feel free to insert the age of your character. We recommend with starting applicants, between 150 to 350 years of age. It can be assumed that it does take several hundred years to consume so many Hollows in order to become an Arrancar.

Appearing Age: This section can be a variety. It's a little more lenient than Shinigami, since the age of a Vizard doesn't necessarily reflect their appearance. As such, we allow a little leeway here. Normal standards can apply, though a 1000 year old Arrancar will not appear 10 years old.

Gender: Male or Female

Race: The race they were before their mask was removed or exposed to the Hōgyoku; Gillian or Adjuchas.
Rank: Privaron Espada, Números, Fracción, or Exequias. A Fracción can still have a Números or Privaron Espada rank.
Number: If applicable (Espada number CANNOT be listed. You must app for the number. Numeros and Privaron Espada 'may' be listed here, however, you must also make certain the number is not already taken, and you also must app for it in the Hueco Mundo Hierarchy for it to become official)

Appearance

Pictures are always helpful, but they should not be a replacement for appearance. A picture cannot tell how tall someone is in comparison, nor the weight. Still, things like this are not alone in this section. Use pictures as a guideline if you have to. Please refrain from making 'lists' in this section, we would prefer you to write out the actual appearance. You may, however, write out a preemptively, i.e., while it's still a WIP, in order to help you describe the general characteristics of your applicant.

Hair color, length, style, eye color, skin complexion, height, weight, body build, muscle mass; all things that are visual aspects should be included here. Do they wear glasses? Do they have accessories like earrings, bracelets, or necklaces? Do they wear the standard Arrancar uniform? How is their Zanpakuto positioned? So on and so forth. This section should be roughly 2 to 3 paragraphs; five to seven sentences each.

Personality

A general explanation of your character's personality. Make sure you don't have contradicting aspects listed here, i.e., state that he or she is a 'rebel' but 'respects authority,' or hates violence but loves to fight. Such things tend to make no sense at all. The best route to go would be to stick to a single aspect, and elaborate. Dig deep; what truly brings your character out? Don't just give a general, bland description, we want you to truly develop your character's personality here. Explain what makes this character of yours more three dimensional. What pisses them off, what makes them laugh, what do they like, are they easily trusted, or do they trust easy? So on and so forth.

A lot of people have been making contradictions in their explanation of the personality, and I believe it's due to players wanting to put in too much into their character. Tone it down to about one to three aspects of a basic personality, then expand from there. This section should roughly be 2 to 3 paragraphs; five to seven sentences each.

History

Arrancar may have a slightly more difficult history to create, simply because we do not know much about them as we do all other spiritual entities of the Bleach Universe. While we know Hollows are created by souls whose chain has eroded, there's not much further description to the process of eventually becoming an Arrancar, aside from the whole 'consuming' spirits deal. Naturally occurring Arrancar do exist within Hueco Mundo. Sōsuke Aizen is able to artificially create Arrancar with the Hōgyoku, which also unlocks much more of their potential than a natural transformation would. The process of turning a Hollow into an Arrancar is called Shinigamification.

Shinigamification is a process where a Hollow acquires Shinigami powers, which creates an Arrancar. This can either occur naturally, such as the case of the Privaron Espada, or by use of the Hōgyoku, as is the case with the current Espada and their Fracción.

Hollows who have undergone Shinigamification gain a Zanpakutō. Despite the fact they have a Zanpakutō, it varies with a Shinigami's Zanpakutō in the way an Arrancar's Zanpakutō is their true Hollow powers sealed in the form of a sword. A Shinigami's Zanpakutō on the other hand, is a manifestation of its owner's soul.

The Hollows who normally go under Shinigamification with the Hōgyoku are those of Menos-class chosen by Sōsuke Aizen. After the process is over, those Hollows are now considered Arrancar and serve under Aizen. Most of the Arrancar pledge loyalty to Aizen, mainly because Shinigamification helps them gain new powers and become stronger.

We do require a good lengthy history; 2-3 paragraph minimum, of five sentence minimum each (A bit lower for Arrancar, simply because most of the background is devouring other Hollows, or Shinigami). That's ten to fifteen sentences, at the bare minimum; fairly easy. Each paragraph can hold a key point in their lives; it's simple. First paragraph, describing their death; you can start backwards with this history; a description of how they wondered about, and eventually, were either devoured by a Hollow, or their chain eventually eroded, and the description of their inevitable transformation into a Hollow. Second paragraph could explain their first run in with a Shinigami, or their first transformation into a Menos Class Hollow. You can continue on with the explanation of the various transformations from classes, up to Adjuchas. As we do not know enough about the Vasto Lorde, we do not accept any applicants for them.

See? Easy, I just gave you pretty much a template to work with.

Natural Powers

These are Natural Powers, i.e., the normal powers that Arrancar have. You may find a list of these on the Bleach Wikia site. You may simply list them, as we're all fairly familiar with the effects of each ability, though listing a description will certainly polish the overall look of the application. A limit of four may be listed. Two are already given to you; Cero and Garganta. You may add two more abilities, or remove Garganta and Cero. However, you will have no means of leaving Hueco Mundo without someone else, nor escape a battle somewhere else without Garganta. If you wish to create an original form of Cero, you must already have Cero listed here, as well as one for Arrancar Abilities. Use the following format:

Zanpakutō

Unreleased Appearance

A single paragraph is sufficient enough for this Appearance Description. Most Zanpakutō look like regular katana, with slight variations between them as one would expect between different swords. There variations are commonly:

Katana (刀): The term katana may be applied to the standard-size, moderately-curved, Japanese sword with a blade length of greater than 60 cm (23.6 inches). The katana is characterized by its distinctive appearance: a curved, slender, single-edged blade, a circular or squared guard, and a grip long enough to accommodate two hands.

Wakizashi (脇差 (わきざし); meaning "side insertion"): A short blade between 30 and 60 cm (12 and 24 inches), with an average of 50 cm (20 inches). It is similar to but shorter than a katana, and usually shorter than the kodachi (小太刀 (こだち); meaning "small sword"). The wakizashi was usually worn together with the katana. When worn together the pair of swords were called daishō, which translates literally as "large and small". The katana was often called the long sword and the wakizashi the companion sword.

Nodachi (野太刀 (のだち); meaning "field sword"): The nodachi was more difficult to wield due to its size and weight. The length of the nodachi's hilt varied between twelve to thirteen inches (30 to 33 centimeters). Its cutting capability and range exceeds that of a katana, due to its weight and size.

In addition to the upgraded forms, the sealed form of a Zanpakutō can also be radically altered, though such alterations are purely cosmetic and usually don't offer any significant advantage in battle; one exception is Ikkaku Madarame's Hōzukimaru, whose hilt stores a blood-clotting ointment.

Resurrección

Appearance

Unlike a Shinigami's Zanpakutō however, an Arrancar's Zanpakutō is simply the Arrancar's Hollow powers sealed into the shape of a weapon. By releasing their Zanpakutō in the same manner as a Shinigami, an Arrancar can release his or her Hollow powers. Most known Resurrección give the Arrancar user an animal-like appearance. While most unreleased Shinigami Zanpakutō take the form of a katana or wakizashi, there is a significantly broader range for Arrancar (such as a sai, axe, a more fictionalized weapon like Nnoitra's Zanpakutō, or a (piece of a) body, like Aaroniero Arruruerie's Zanpakutō, or Lilynette Gingerback).

Because their powers are sealed in their Zanpakutō, an Arrancar's release will usually transform their body into a Hollow-like form, allowing them to use their abilities freely. This form usually reflects what the Arrancar looked like as a Hollow, although to highly varying degrees. A Resurrección restores an Arrancar to its "true" form, resulting in significantly various increases in speed, strength, stamina, durability and spiritual power, as well as allowing access to both more powerful variations of previous techniques and completely new abilities. Arrancar normally only return to their human form when they reseal their Hollow powers; doing so without resealing, though possible, is a permanent change comparable to amputating a limb. There are two reasons Arrancar go through such trouble to seal their power: it allows them to maintain human form and to conserve their power in times of inactivity.

In most cases, Arrancar "lose" their Zanpakutō after performing their Resurrección. By which, they no longer carry any kind of one or two handed weapon - the sword is replaced by other natural weapons such as claws (Shawlong Kūfang), pincers (Findor Carias), tendrils (Szayel Aporro Granz), or just plain fists (Choe Neng Poww). However, there are some exceptions - nine to be exact; seven out of these nine have been Espada.

All applicants for the Segunda Etapa will be denied, as it is only a Canon transformation, and very little information aside from what Ulquiorra has given is presented. Like all appearances, a minimum of two paragraphs.
